Cape ST Owners Dyno Day, 5 March 2016

On Saturday, 5th March, I went to a Cape ST Owners (CSTOC) Dyno Day at Dynotech in Brackenfell – the first dyno day of the year and damn, it was awesome! Even though we had a spot of rain, it didn’t stop the #CarJunkies from coming out in droves to socialize and support the event.

The scheduled time of the event was 08h15, but they already had their first car waiting from before 7am…totally insane!  I guess that’s what happens when you attend a CSTOC dyno day – you HAVE to be there early to even stand a chance at putting your car on the rollers as numbers are limited and you want to be in on the action!  Before you knew it, they had already sold 63 of their 80 slots and it wasn’t even 10am yet. People just started lining up to have their cabby's output tested on the dynamometer.

CSTOC is vastly known for their charitable efforts, but the ultimate purpose of their dyno day is to gauge how many kWs your car has under the bonnet. Dynotech only provides flywheel kWs and not wheel kWs. Although this is an ST event, they are not race-ist and all cars across all brands are welcomed with open arms.  After all, you never know when a sleeper might surprise you with all those hidden POWER and TORQUE… in addition they had boeries and refreshments on sale with Monster Energy handing out free samples.

I didn't stay for the entire duration of the event, but I stayed long enough to experience the vibe and admire the kWs being pushed out by the various cars.

Their next event is a Park-Off scheduled for Thursday, 10 March 2016 @ Daytona Events Venue in Killarney Gardens.

Hit like and keep up to date with all Cape ST Owners' events held:

Some of their other charitable events are as follows:

-         Lending a helping hand with the animals at Uitsig Animal Rescue.
-         Soup runs to distribute soup to the homeless in different areas during the winter months.

CSTOC and Monster Energy are the sponsors for all dyno days as well as some other upcoming events that can be found on their forum, facebook page and Instagram!
