So.....Car Junkies decided to have their maiden event! Car Junkies Dyno Day

The event was held on 6 August 2016 at Dynotech in Brackenfell. It was scheduled for 8am but people were waiting since 7h30 that morning! I was running a bit late, you know how it goes when you think you have everything together, it's not always the case!

Anyway, myself and the team eventually arrived and we got straight to it. We were giving out forms even before we set up our table, which was such a rush. But nonetheless, the team handled the pressure pretty well. It was our first time hosting an event and, in my opinion, it was such a great success. Turned out to be more than I had expected for the day.

We had a total of 65 cars testing their output, people were kept intrigued and music was flowing. Big thanks to Red Bull South Africa for sponsoring us and providing their amazing events vehicle to liven up the place.

I must say I had learnt a lot from being behind the scenes of a Dyno event. The classes and divisions can get really frustrating because people don't always fall in the allocated classes and changes had to be made when sorting out the results. We did our best to accommodate each car according to their class.

All results have been posted on our Facebook page Car Junkies Cape Town. We had a lucky draw for entrants and were provided with 3 awesome prizes from Motojunky, Cape Dappers and RRR Stylin'. The prize giving will be held 19 August 2016 at Alies Wheels in Belgravia at 7pm. Winners will receive their trophies and certificates. Autoquip had sponsored some sweet vouchers too!
