Brett Van Der Schyff: 2007 Audi S3

I recently had a chat with one of my friends, Brett, who is a 26 year old Clinical Psychologist and has a keen interest in understanding people and their behavior. He also has a real passion for cars and the joy that all different types of cars may bring.

Brett’s parents had bought him a 1.6 Citi Golf for his first car in 2011 as a necessity but 3 years later he decided he wanted something more powerful and went on to buy himself an Audi S3. Since Brett has a passion for speed and sound, he decided to modify his beauty.

So this is what’s been done:

Engine

· Revo Stage 2+ Software

· 76mm Downpipe

· Custom Made Cold-Air Intake

· Autotech High-Pressure Fuel Pump internals

· R8 Coils Pack with iridium spark plugs

· Carbon Cleaning performed

It makes 253Kw and 503Nm, with it becoming exceptionally lively when launching at about 5000RPM

Sound

· Bose speakers (back and front)

· Rockford Fosgate Tweeters

· Rockford Fosgate P600x4 Amplifier

· Rockford Fosgate P3 10” Subwoofer

The sound system is purely a sound quality build.

Looks

· Original BBS CH-R 18’ Rims

· Recaro Bucket Seats

· All chrome was made matte black with Plastidip

Brett's future plan for his car is some form of suspension lowering, water/meth injection, engine bay customising and to Plastidip the whole car. Not too long ago he shared some pictures with me and he also told me that in future he would really love to get himself an Audi RS3. He loves to attend car shows and participates at the night drags in Saldanha.
