Hassan Photo and Video Studios
Akeel Hassan is a 23 year old fella who is currently between jobs. He completed his BCOM Accounting through the University of the Western Cape last year (2015). However, Akeel always had an interest in cars from a very young age. He read car magazines and just craved any knowledge pertaining to cars.
Mr Hassan along with his brother Saeed, started a photography and videography business. On a part time basis he produces automotive videos for events, car clubs and also does shoots for individuals. He works under the banner of HASSAN PHOTO AND VIDEO STUDIOS. Last year, November 28, I asked Akeel to shoot a Car Show event that I had been a part of, namely Rides Collide 2015. He did an amazing job!

HASSAN PHOTO AND VIDEO STUDIOS was inspired by his "addiction" to automotive videos in 2008 and has been operational with their Youtube channel since 2012 / 2013. All their work takes place in the Cape Town area. Akeel watched videos regularly as a means to relax and "escape" from everything. One day his friends challenged him to make a video of his friends MK3 GTi. All he had was his cellphone, however he accepted the challenge and the rest was history!

Toyfest 2014 and Oddessy Fashion Show were Akeel's biggest events. Toyfest 2014 was his best experience to date as it was the first Toyfest held and it was one of his goals for that year, a day he will never forget.

HASSAN PHOTO AND VIDEO STUDIOS' future plans is to continue doing the best they can for any job and keep portraying Cape Town Car Culture to the world because "Cape Town has a unique flavour compared to overseas".
HPAVS also does weddings, birthday parties and any events requested.
